AFO,
NRPA's Aquatic Facility Operator certification course, is a training program
designed to meet the needs of those working in public, semi-public, and
municipal pool or waterpark facilities. The AFO program offers
a unique discussion of risk management, not usually directed towards operations
personnel. The course is designed to provide information and training

This 2 day course provides in-depth instruction in all facets of aquatic
facility operation and management including: filtration, disinfection,
water testing and treatment, design considerations, facility management,
risk management, facility troubleshooting, hot tub & spa operation and
much more!!

Aquatic
Directors, Aquatic Supervisors, Recreation Directors, Aquatic Facility Managers,
Aquatic Programming Personnel, Aquatic Design Professionals, Waterpark Directors,
Pool Managers and anyone responsible for operating a clean,
safe, efficient aquatic facility.
QUALITY
INSTRUCTORS
The AFO instructor team is comprised of the top aquatic professionals in
the United States. AFO instructors have diverse backgrounds in aquatic operations,
management, chemistry and must complete a two-day training course in public
presentation, speaking, and technical aquatic skills.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the AFO course and exam, participants
will be officially certified by the National Recreation and Park Association.
All certified individuals receive a certificate suitable for framing and
registry in the National AFO Certification Database. Certification is valid
for three years and is renewable.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Class is held each day from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. The AFO class fee
includes the 18-hour course, textbook,
certification upon successful completion, 1.5 CEU's, a portable calculator and a pen. Please contact the facility that
