These cartridges are composed of polyester fibers and resins, and the filter mat used is manufactured to predetermined porosity which filters from 20 microns down. The filter mat, PVC center tube, and PVC ends of each cartridge are heat welded to form a tough structure capable of withstanding more than 100 PSI without collapsing. SuperTuf has been tested and approved by the National Sanitation Foundation.
